Butler, PA — On Saturday night, former President Donald Trump was injured in a shooting at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. The attack resulted in the death of one spectator and critically injured two others.

The shooter, a 20-year-old man, fired eight rounds before being taken down by Secret Service snipers. During the chaos, Trump was seen touching his ear and was quickly shielded by Secret Service agents, who then escorted him offstage into an SUV. Blood was visible on his face. Trump later shared on social media that a bullet had grazed the upper part of his right ear.

"I instantly knew something was wrong when I heard a whizzing sound and felt a sharp pain in my ear," Trump said. "There was a lot of bleeding, and I realized I'd been hit."

The Secret Service confirmed that Trump was taken to a local hospital and was discharged a few hours later.

Authorities confirmed that the gunman was killed by a Secret Service sniper. The FBI stated that the shooter acted alone and that the incident is being investigated as both an assassination attempt and a potential case of domestic terrorism.
